George is a former Vice President of Worldwide Government Relations for Kellogg Company and currently the President of Franklin Public Affairs LLC, which has offices in Atlanta and Michigan. Throughout his career, George has held numerous positions in and out of government including:
- Member of the Industry Trade Advisory Committee on Consumer Goods for the U.S. Department of Commerce
- Member of both the Agricultural Technology and Human Nutrition Advisory Committees for the U.S. Department of Agriculture
- Chairman of both the State Affairs Committee and the Washington Representatives Group of the Grocery Manufacturers of America
His community service activities include serving twice as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Western Michigan University and former membership on the Board of the Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation. He is currently a member of the Advisory Committee to the Levin Center at Wayne State University Law School.
George is the author of Raisin Bran and Other Cereal Wars and enjoys frequent opportunities to speak and advise business students, business groups and civic organizations regarding Government Affairs functions in Corporations.
George received his J.D. from American University in Washington, DC and is a member of the American Bar Association. He enjoys golf and boating.
