John Grant...

John has more than 35 years of teaching, research and consulting experiences in the fields of corporate strategy, international business and sustainability. He served as the R. Kirby Professor of Strategic Management from 1992-97 at the University of Pittsburgh. He has had extensive experience working with both private and publicly-traded companies and well as NGOs and is a former Visiting Fellow with the School of Global Environmental Sustainability (SoGES) at Colorado State University, where he now serves as a Community Affiliate.                 

He has served as faculty director for study tours to China, Japan, South Korea, Germany and Poland while at CSU and also helped with the development of the GSSE (Global Social & Sustainable Enterprise) MBA program.

During the late 1990s, he served as the Chief Operating Officer of a pharmaceuticals distribution and software company on the West Coast, where he had responsibilities for relationships with the FDA, DEA and other regulatory agencies.

Before receiving his doctorate in business administration (D.B.A.) at the Harvard Business School, John worked as a CPA in Oklahoma, where he had earned both his B.S. and M.S. degrees.  From 2003-09 he was a Visiting Professor Management at both Colorado State University (Ft. Collins) and the University of Northern Colorado (Greeley).

He and his wife Ruth enjoy gardening, grandchildren, and walks by rivers and oceans.
